The SSK is made especially to prevent the spreading of fire and smoke between adjacent rooms, this is particularly important in hospital operating theatres, as patients undergoing surgery cannot be evacuated quickly.

The LFA SSK consists of the following:

Actionair DWFX-F 501 Smokeshield c/w a Mode 5 (230v) Actionair branded Belimo Acuator
The incorporation of this CE marked damper installation ensures integrity and functionality in the event of a fire.
Connecting up to a control panel/fire alarm system allows for multiple dampers to be controlled from one location.
In the event of a fire or the fire alarm activating, the dampers are closed automatically.
SSK casing to enclose said damper installation
2 no. casings, 1 no. on the inlet, high pressure side of the wall, and then 1 no. on the outlet, low pressure side of the wall.
The Aircon LFA air pressure stabiliser will be located on the side of the wall that the fire damper installed to.
